"I would like to say how impressed I was with my order. Most of the bulbs/rhizomes were impressively large and you even sent extra plants. The packaging was perfect; no bends or breaks. I planted them at once and they have taken off like gang busters!"

"I received my order today - that was fast delivery! Thanks for the "extra" it looks lovely. The plants are very healthy and they are an impressive size."

WHIRLWIND

A Paradise Garden Five Star Hosta

Interestingly twisted leaves form the impression of a whirlwind. Dark green margins with light yellow-green centers. A fast-growing hosta. The color of the underside of the leaf will vary depending on light, temperature and age. AHS awards- Best Variegated Leaf 1992, Best Variegated Hosta 1992.

We ship exceptionally large and fresh bare root hosta. Sometimes in the heat of late summer, the tops of these are clipped off. This promotes new growth. Shipments begin in late March and run throughout the season until late October.

I helped to plant these in my mother's garden and they are gorgeous, the plants grow very slowly though, not as fast as I would have thought.

Whirlwind has taken off since I planted it a few months ago, though its leaves aren't nearly as large as pictured here. It does twist and turn, which gives it a different look than the others around it. Very healty, very good grower. I highly recommend it.

Love this beauty! The rich colors add a welcome contrast to the usual greens of a typical perennial garden. Very healthy for its first year and tolerant to Texas extreme weather so far.

Mine shows the twisting habit of the leaves too. You will love the contrasting patterns. In part shade my shows off with rich dark green variegation as many hostas do with changing exposure through the season. I like it mixed in with some bright yellows. I say, buy it!

This hosta has a rather wind-blown appearance with the way its growth habit sort of twists the leaves at different angles. The coloring is crisp and a delight to look at in the garden.

A great hosta to use in that partly shady area to add a little extra splash. Looks good in contrast with Krossa Regal, Blue Angel, Francee, or Patriot. A must have for a Hosta lover.
