One of the best hostas you will ever grow and probably one of the most special plants you'll have in your garden! This unique hosta will become your favorite. There is simply nothing else like it! Leaves emerge bright green margined in deep golden yellow then turn frosty blue with creamy-yellow margins. Heavy substance. Grows 30 inches high, and nearly 70 inches wide. The leaves are 13 inches long, by 10 inches wide. They are slightly cupped with an undulating margin. The plant has an interesting upright vase shape. Pale lavender flowers midsummer. Awards-Voted 'Hosta of the Year' for 2000 by the American Hosta Growers Association, President's Exhibitor Trophy-1982 &1997, Best Variegated Leaf-1987, Best Variegated Hosta in a Garden-1991 & 2002.
We ship exceptionally large and fresh bare root hosta. Sometimes in the heat of late summer, the tops of these are clipped off. This promotes new growth. Shipments begin in late March and run throughout the season until late October.

Probably the most beautiful Hosta we have! Plant habit is outstanding. Through hail, wind and rain(every day it seems) it still looks great.

Though only 2 years old last summer, this one is always grabbing visitors attention. I'm looking forward to mature size.

This is one beautiful Hosta. The change in color from spring thru summer is wonderful. Nice sized leaves. I alway say you can never have to many Hosta! But if you have room to fit only one more this should be it.

Whether you call this by its new name 'Sagae' or its former name H. fluctuans 'Variegata' it is still a hosta to have in your landscape. Shakespeare once penned 'A rose by any other name would smell as sweet' and no matter what you call this wonderful hosta it is a definite must have in the hosta collector's collection.

A beautiful, large hosta with just enough varigation to set off Plain Jane hostas. I started this one in its own large container and soon had to move it to a permanent spot in the garden, where it really took off! It truly compliments my single color hostas and is the perfect backdrop for colorful low growing flowering plants such as pansies and impatiens.
