grass MISCANTHUS s. 'Huron Sunrise' (PPAF)

The most profusely blooming Miscanthus. In late summer, a profusion of full, burgundy plumes emerge above beautiful clumps of green leaves with silver mid-ribs. The plant maintains its graceful form throughout winter, providing tremendous winter interest. Hardy to zone 4, this variety is great for northern climates.

The miscanthus grasses are stately, clump-forming ornamental grasses with leaves that grow up and then cascade down like a fountain. They are easy-to-grow, and have been garden favorites for centuries. Useful as specimen plants, backdrops for perennials and shrubs, for massing and screening, in large containers and at water's edge. Foliage turns various shades of gold in the fall and keeps its color throughout the winter.

This plant is considered deer resistant.
