Terniflora sets the standard for serious vining with beautiful flowers. It has been known to grow up to thirty feet. In late summer and fall the plant is completely covered by masses of sweetly scented, creamy white blooms. Evergreen in southern climates. Belongs to pruning group three.
This plant is considered deer resistant.
We ship larger plants than most leading mailorder nurseries. Ours are two year old plants in 5 1/4" containers.

This is our favorite clematis. Being in Group III, it's easy to maintain just by hard pruning in the spring. But it is the fragrance and delicate appearance that we love most. Our is planted at the corner of our deck where we have built a pergola. The Sweet Autumn climbs up to the horizontal members of the pergola and spreads to cover it with a white, lacy blanket that is a standout in the neighborhood. I did not rate it as a "10" only because it can reseed freely, but you can always plant the volunteers in other areas or share them with friends.

One of my favorites. It is pretty and perky, The fragrance is nice too and pleasing. It blooms at just the right time too when other stuff doesn't seem to do much. A very nice addition to the garden

A fantastic vine! Covered my trellises completely the first year, with tiny white flowers that smell of root beer in the fall. Flowers are replaced by gorgeous lacy seeds, which delighted my children and the neighborhood children. Coming back even faster the third year. I can't say enough good things about this easily-grown vine.

I live in zone 7 and what i thought was a sweet autumn is blooming now up to the top of a crape myrtle tree. Should this be blooming so early?

Sweet Autumn Clematis is a welcome fragrant bloomer in late August and early September. I was pleasantly surprised how profuse the blooms were in only the second season.

I have "sweet autumn" planted on a trellis on my front porch. It grows very full, very quickly to create a lovely private & shady area on my front porch. Inter-plant it with an earlier blooming clematis for season long color.
