I've just ordered 2 more Clematis "Nelly Moser". I had 1 growing for over 20 years under some pines at the entrance to my granddaughters' secret garden. It was beautiful! But due to some bad storms & arbor destruction it was lost. It grew so well in mostly shade with only a couple hours of morning sun. I'm looking forward to these new plants & the great show they will put on. Nelly Moser is definitely a winner!

My Nelly Moser is blooming now (late March). It is in its second year. We've had severe drought and heat in the past 3 years, so I was just hoping it would survive. It is still just a single vine, but now with 3 beautiful blooms. This clemantis is a survivor!

I was wishing for a whole lot more from this plant. The photos make it look so full but I didn't have that luck in my garden. It is a pretty pink though

I have grown this clematis in the last three homes I have had. This time I have it in a container next to an Alligator Juniper tree. It is climbing right up the tree and the pink blooms against the blue green foliage of the tree are set off nicely.
I've grown it next to clematis Ernest Markham and the combination was great.

Nelly Moser is a wonderful clematis. I have grown the same plant for about 15 years and moved it three times. It did very well in Centralia where I originally grew it and was a huge plant when I dug it up when I moved it to Rochester. It was grown with early morning sun and shade in the afternoon for the past 9 years and had beautiful big blooms for several months each year. I lost it last spring after my husband did my pruning for me. I bought another from Paradise this spring (2004) and it bloomed two or three blooms this season and by October is about 7 feet tall. I love this clematis and must say that Paradise has superior plants.

Nelly Moser is one of the best clematis for shade. I have it in a spot where it only gets a few hours of morning sun and it's doing great.

I work in a nursery and this clematis out sells all the rest and gets the most comments on it's beauty.
