I always remove the entire stem on which the irises have bloomed. I cut them right after they're finished because I think they are unsightly after blooming. Reblooming irises don't rebloom until 2 to 6 months after the first bloom, so be patient. I had one rebloom this week, and last year I had some rebloom in Nov. (I'm in zone Also, don't expect the rebloom to be as prolific as the first bloom. You will probably only get one or two stems per plant.
I assume you know that only the varieties bred for reblooming will do so.
Hope that helps.

| I live in zone 8. You didn't say if they are new plants or existing. If new, you may have planted them too deeply. They need to be planted shallow--1 inch or so, just enough to cover the rhizome. Also you may be watering too much. you'll know this if they are yellowing. hope this helps |
